Dalton House is a family run Georgian-period home, offering
superb hospitality and is personally hosted by its owners Chris and Nicky. It
has a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere and benefits from a stunning location.
Set in the Beacons National Park, it lies between the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons, wit superb mountain and Lake views. Located in beautiful village of Llangors with pub restaurants in easy walking distance and superb Gastro-pubs nearby.
Centrally located for a host of activities, whether walking, horse riding, cycling, kayaking, abseiling, paragliding or golf, to name a few, and ideally placed for those who want to venture a bit further to explore. Cardiff (1hr): Carmarthenshire and Cardigan Bay (1.5 hrs): the beautiful Gower Peninsula (1.5 hrs): and the Wye Valley and Vale of Usk (.5 hr). A wide and varied range of visitor attractions are nearby to suit all tastes from narrow gauge railways to medieval castles, ancient monuments, mining museums, historic Gardens and the World famous Brecon Jazz and Hay Literature Festivals.
It is an ideal get-away for those looking for first class accommodation and facilities, without any of the formality or expense normally associated with such highly-commended visitor experiences.
Dalton House is tastefully decorated in modern-contemporary themes, providing elegant, superior accommodation. Bedrooms and bathrooms offer luxurious Egyptian Cotton percale and damask linens, Egyptian Cotton towels and luxurious velour bathrobes, goose down pillows, cushions, and throws. Comprehensive in-room hospitality is provided with radio, CD, TV, independent alarm clock, and hair dryer.
Our guests have their own comfortable private lounge with open fire where you can relax with a good book, have glass of wine or listen to some music……or even all three at the same time !
Dalton
House has large private gardens with plenty of seating areas from where you can
enjoy wonderful views of Llangors Lake, the Brecon Beacons and the Black
Mountain ranges. Additionally, in the grounds, there is a hot-tub and a 40ft
heated swimming pool, which you are welcome to use. (Please note the pool is
heated between March and October).
Breakfast is served in the conservatory (where you can enjoy watching the mood of the mountains change) or “al fresco” on our patio(weather permitting!) Choose from our comprehensive breakfast menu complete with full-cooked, vegetarian, fish, seasonal fruit platter, continental, and “lite-bite” options.
There is plenty of parking space on site and bikes can be stored overnight upon request. Major Credit cards are accepted.
